Dear friends at CBC,
If you were to ask me to list the top three subjects the world seems to give a lot of attention to while the church may not, I’d have to think that sexuality would be among them. Couple that with the fact that research shows that sex, just like money, is a major contributor to marriage and relationship conflicts. Yet the Bible isn’t silent about it at all. The Songs of Solomon champions its beauty freely while 1 and 2 Corinthians warn against it’s abuse strongly. Is there a conflict? Maybe satan, in all his craftiness, has taken something beautiful and made it perverse. Maybe he is so adamant about it because it shows the Fathers Love to us in a unique and powerful way – and opens a door for us to love each other in a similar fashion. I’d say it’s time to break some of the lies surrounding this topic, and be mesmerized not by satan’s perversion but by God’s redemption. Come and find out how this Sunday.
