September 5, 2012

Dear covenant family,

Matthew 5:21 – You have heard that it was said to the people long ago ‘Do not murder’, but I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment

Anger is like fire. It can be good or bad. It can heat your home or burn it down. Jesus relates the 6th commandment to killing people by our anger. It’s interesting that our anger reveals a lot about who we are and what we stand for. Come and find out this Sunday how you can use anger as a force for good – both in your life and in the lives of others -  as we look at the 6th commandment: ‘You are killing me’.

This Sunday at 6 pm we will have the annual Evie Potluck at Evie Payton’s residence, 1237 Old Jackson Road, Farmington. It’s always a fun time! Please bring a dish to share, chairs to sit on and comfortable shoes as Chrystal will be coordinating some fun games for us to play.

Parking Lot expansion

Reminder: Bill Bratberg and Bud Masson will again be available this Sunday to take anyone on a tour after the church service to show you the plans for parking lot expansion and answer any questions you may have. We will take up a special offering on Sunday, September 16 to take this step of faith. Estimated cost: $1200.
