December 19, 2012

Dear Covenant family,

What a joy to see what God did in our midst this past Sunday during the Cantata!  A big thank you to everyone for doing your part in presenting Christ so beautifully to our church family and visitors – from praying and singing to parking, from bringing cookies to inviting family and friends, from doing sound and decorations to cleaning up afterwards. Thank you! Several responded to the invitation, and I enjoyed meeting with them after the service to hear the things God had done in their hearts. Christ was made visible through all of you! The Bible promises us that heaven had a party as well, as sinners came to repentance. To God be the Glory!

We look forward to continue celebrating Christ this Sunday during our Family Style Christmas Service. We hope to have children presentations, special music, puppets, a creative children’s message and a debut of new musical instruments you may have never seen at CBC. The gospel will be presented. There will be No Sunday School. Please know that we will not have a breakfast this Sunday, but will have a church potluck on January 6th with the growth group kick off.

Christmas Eve Service

Monday, December 24th is our Christmas Eve Service. We will give an opportunity for anyone to share a testimony of how they have experienced the Light of Christ as he came in their lives this year. Traditionally, we will end it with lighting our candles as we sing ‘Silent Night’.

Our Wednesday Night Prayer & Bible Study will be cancelled on December 26th.

Wintery Weather and cancellations at CBC

Church activities are typically canceled when the Farmington School District cancels school activities. Please know that we have to be extra cautious due to the fact that our gravel parking lot is harder to clean from snow and ice. If a service is canceled an email will be sent out to all. You may also call Marco at 366-0787 or any of the elders if you need more information about potential cancellations.
