November 20, 2013

Dear Covenant family,

“The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to the one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!" Psalm 50:23 (ESV)

If I were to ask you about the best place in town to get a hamburger, you may have an idea of where to send me. How about the best place for an ice cream, a nice sit-down dinner, or the best deals on clothes or holiday shopping? The Bible tells us that the best place to receive Gods Blessings is a place called ‘thanksgiving’. The word ‘thanks giving’ is mentioned 7 times in the book of Colossians, highlighting the importance of this attitude in the believer’s life. This attitude is also embedded in the history of our Nation.  Join us this Sunday as we take a fresh look at Thanksgiving and how it impacts your life. It’s my prayer that this Sunday because of thanksgiving you and I will ‘order our way rightly so we can see the salvation of God’!

Join us this Saturday for the “Help the Hungry Bake Sale’. Last year over $40,000 was raised to help feed the community. Bring baked goods, or come to shop baked goods and eat. Lunch available. Marco will be auctioning off a pie with a Dutch Flavor probably around 11.00-12.00 a.m.
