November 26, 2013

Dear Covenant family,

“My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together” – Ps 34:2

I look forward to this Sunday as we prepare our hearts in remembering the birth of Christ. It will be the first of the four Sundays of Advent. We will look at “Mary’s Song’ - a song of hope for anyone ‘afflicted’; or ‘messed up’ as we would say. The promise? He makes us sing!
In order to prepare our hearts further, this Sunday will mark the start of an opportunity to participate in daily Select Scripture Readings that cover the Christmas Story for the next 4 weeks.

  • Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving! Please join us for the community Thanksgiving Service tonight at Memorial United Methodist Church in Farmington at 7 p.m. (no CBC services Wednesday)
  • A big thank you the Central Growth Group for their help this past Sunday to decorate the church for Christmas!
