December 11, 2013

Dear Covenant family,

‘for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given!’ – Isaiah 9:6

Hope you have enjoyed the white stuff last weekend. But after being snowed in last week, I look forward to see you this Sunday for our Family Christmas Service with puppets, song and Christmas Great News Story. Invite your friends and family!

Please note that:
Like last year, we will NOT have Sunday School in order to give our children the chance to use the sanctuary to set up and get ready.
A potluck lunch will take place immediately following the service. Please bring a dish to share; we’re thinking soup and sandwiches and treats/sweets.
The white elephant gift exchange will start right after lunch. Here is how you participate: Find something in your house (no trash please) that you no longer need, but that could be of great help, use or cause for a good laugh for someone else. Wrap your gift and bring it with you on Sunday. After you have opened your gift, you may ‘trade it in’ with anyone else who has already received his/her gift. Lots of fun!

Snow Adjustments….
We are having church tonight and plan so for tomorrow night as well. The parking lot has been cleared from most of the snow, and valet parking is available.
The Growth Group Facilitator Meeting has been rescheduled for Sunday, Dec. 22.

This Thursday – Vision Meeting
Coming up this Thursday: our next visionary meeting. We will continue the process that we started during our weekend of prayer and fasting – seeking God’s direction and blueprint for our church. We plan to wrap up our discussion about our ‘Kingdom Concept’ and look at the area’s of strategy and measuring results.

Give this Christmas - Gifts to St. Francois manor residents.
The staff has asked for stocking hats and gloves, individual cans of soda, headphones, and candies to be given the residents. We would like contributions by December 12 please. If you want to help, please contact Naomi at 747-6882
