Dear Covenant family,
What a wonderful time we had this past Sunday! Thank you to
all who participated with special music, testimony and skit. It was inspiring
to hear from so many of you about the difference Christ makes in your life! We
will remain in the CHRIST-mas spirit this Tuesday at 5.00 p.m with our Christmas Eve Service. Pastor Kendall
Hughes (like last year) will share with us, and we will end it with a candle
light time around ‘Silent Night’. This service is always a special time as we
welcome The Light into our lives.
This Sunday expect to get a sneak preview toward the
upcoming New Year Sermon Series on ‘Ephesians’. The apostle Paul reminds me of
many great modern day heroes. What made him so inspiring is that he was so
radical in his faith and love for God. He was literally consumed by God. I pray
this series will inspire a similar passion in our hearts to go all the way in
following Him. Word of Warning: If you follow Paul’s advice, make sure you fasten
your seat belts – you’re in for quite the ride! This Sunday we will talk about
what it means to be ‘consumed’ by Him.
Thank you
Thank you very much church family for your generous gifts,
cards, and goodies we received this Sunday! We are so blessed to know you all
and have you in our lives. And now I know I can blame all of you if I gain
weight this Christmas Season…..! Wishing you all a Merry Christmas! – the van Raalten family

New Years Eve –
Tuesday December 31 – Games Night at the Van Raalten’s
It has been a family tradition for me growing up to have a
games night on New Year’s Eve, and at 12.00 kick off the new year by taking a
few minutes to pray together - asking for His Blessing. Always have loved it as
a kid. We would love to start the year by having a good laugh with one another
as we play games and visit, and end it with a prayer. Let’s start 2014 right!
We will start around 8 p.m.; you may come and go as you like, and please feel
free to bring your favorite game, snack or drink. 1895
