Dear Covenant family,

 

Ps 95:6 - "Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker."

 

I am looking forward to this Sunday as John Pierce will be ministering the Word to us. What a great Sunday we had last week. ‘The People of a Great God’ is the title of his message as we continue to look at Psalm 95.

Sunday School will be devoted to testimonies. We will give you an opportunity to share what God has been doing in your life and would ask you to connect it to a verse in Scripture. (Sam Mason and the Gainer’s are absent this Sunday).

 

What’s on the menu for potluck lunch after church on June 29^th?

Bring sandwiches and salad. Desert will be provided. It is Lilly’s birthday party. All are welcome.

 

Upcoming Sundays: Missions Sunday and ‘Family Camp’ Sunday

July 6^th Tom & Gayle Shook will be visiting us, both during Sunday School and Service.

July 13 Pastor Mike Priest from Christ Community Evangelical Free Church in St. Louis will be visiting us. CCC runs the family camp at Pinecrest Christian Camp in Cherokee Pass each year and has gracefully extended an invitation for our church to join them again this year. Mike will be sharing from God’s Word and introduce the camp at the same time. Mike was also instrumental as one of the team members that helped started Covenant Bible Church in it’s early days, so it may be a sweet reunion for some!

July 20 we will resume Ephesians.

 

Prayer and Praise Reports:

Shelly Bess lost her grandmother this week. They were close. 10 am Visitation and 1 pm Funeral at the Declue Funeral Home in Potosi.

Sam Mason is to undergo knee replacement surgery this Monday, June 30^th  at 1 pm in St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis.

The Pierce family is to move this Saturday to Bonne Terre. If you want to help move them contact John Pierce at 561-3765.

Dick & Gwen Slater are at home, but still fatigued. Pray for full recovery.

Jackie Nasser is at home - recovering well after surgery.
