Dear Covenant family,

 

Call to Worship: ‘Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right’ – Ephesians 6:1

It is time for our kids to take center stage in our sermon time this Sunday! I look forward to an interactive service with the children this Sunday as we look at what it means ‘to obey your parents’. Then we will switch gear to look at the adults as well– how to raise your  own kids, including those that are still in the house, grandkids, and those that left the house! Please bring your kids, grandkids, neighborhood kids,…. any kids to make it truly interactive. Kari and ‘my’ kids may leave me to go out of town for a family reunion in Wisconsin, so any young person is appreciated – and if it is anything like other Sunday’s, each kid will bring some laughter too!

 

Prepare your hearts for Sunday School:

Byron & Crystal Huebschen will continue to teach Sunday School this Sunday. Byron asks you to prepare stories you would consider sharing of how you have been impacted by grace, whether from God or others.  So instead of ghost stories there will be "Grace stories"!.

 

Prayer and Praise Reports:

Dick & Gwen Slater – left this morning for a trip up north to visit family and celebrate Dick’s birthday. Dick and Gwen are scheduled to return next week Tuesday.

John van Hoogstraat – kept in Parkland Hospital for observation for one more night, to return tomorrow.

Jackie is being released by several medical officials, and continues to do better. She hopes to be back soon.

Kay Penfield – acute bronchitis, appreciates your prayers

Sam Mason is recovering well, but still easily fatigued
