Dear Covenant family,
‘He must become
greater, I must become less’ – John 3:30
Have you ever been disappointed with God? Prayed for
something and got no answer? Maybe you prayed for a clear and obvious godly
‘intervention’, yet it stayed out. You felt like He wasn’t there, or that maybe
He didn’t care. Maybe you felt you weren’t good enough to get an answer from
God. John the Baptist – our second character in the series of seven we’ll
discuss in ‘encounters with Jesus’ – faced a major disappointment. When his
disciples asked him about it, his response revealed a vision about life that can
open a door to experience joy instead of being pulled down by life’s
disappointments. It’s time to ask ourselves: ‘What do you really want out of
life?’
