November 5,2014

Dear Covenant family,

Call to Worship: When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he said unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? – John 5:6, KJV

What would you say to Brittany Maynard; the 29 year old woman who made national headlines with her desire to end her life? What would you say to the man at the pool who had been there for 38 years with no one to help him, and no hope of every getting healed? What would Jesus say to your neighbor, friend or family member who have given up all hope of ever ‘walking again’? What would Jesus say to you when you feel hopeless, discouraged and like giving up? After showing us this past Sunday the expansive power of faith at work in the hearts of individuals, John continues by teaching us how Christ operates in our hearts as He asks us one simple question: “Do you want to be made whole?” Come and find out this Sunday how that question can have a profound impact on your life and as we cast our nets: the lives of others!

Men’s Breakfast this Saturday

Men’s Breakfast with a testimony from Matt Viox and a delicious fish breakfast by Larry Hedrick. From 8 – 9.30 am at CBC.

Shoeboxes – Operation Christmas Child

Darlene Berg writes: Shoebox Packing Party Sunday, November 16, immediately following the service. We will collect shoe boxes that day through Sunday the 23rd. Please know that even if you do not have enough to pack your own shoebox but have items that we could use, you can bring them and we'll pack up boxes with items that others have and items left over from last year.

For more info go to Samaritan's purse and check out link to Operation Christmas Child.
