February 26, 2015

Dear Covenant family,

‘Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.’ – John 12:24

After being snowed out last week, we hope to revisit John Chapter 12. The words of martyred missionary Jim Elliott make perfect sense: He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. Words very close to Christ’s when he talked about the way to find a full life: You want to find your life? Lose it and you will find it! Here is my Spring prayer: may we, as a church body, discover more of the full meaning of the Gospel during this Lent Season.

The Children Worker Meeting has been rescheduled to March 22

Efforts will be made to have the new sound system set up this Sunday.

Winter Weather:

We do hope and expect to have services this Sunday. Some of the snow around the building has been removed – clearing a path to walk on. However, with the somewhat unpredictability of this weekends weather, expect to hear about any changes in services no later than Sunday morning 8 am.

Pastor to attend EFCA Conference and Pastor Retreat

Marco plans to leave for a pastor’s conference immediately following the service this Sunday, and will return Friday evening. He will attend the regional EFCA Conference in Des Moines, Iowa, and spend time with 6 other pastors, including Mike Priest for study and fellowship. Pray for a time of refreshment, renewal and revelation of Truth.
