February 4, 2015

Dear Covenant family,

‘He said: Woman, where are your accusers? Has no one condemned you? “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you”, Jesus declared: “Go now and leave your life of sin.” – John 8:10, 11

We all make mistakes, don’t we? Have you ever told anyone ‘Don’t beat yourself up over it’? Or have you ever felt worthless and an utter failure after messing up? Jesus knows. The story of the woman caught in adultery clearly shows that he is no advocate of condemnation, but finds it quite destructive. The interesting part of this story is that after destroying this destructive foe, he tells her to ‘sin no more’ – believing that she can do the very thing that her accusers (and maybe herself) thought she never could: live a perfect(?) life. Wow! Does that sound like a salvation story? Come this Sunday to find in Christ a safe haven from condemnation and a Gateway to Life!

Mission Opportunity – Thrift Store

The Thrift Store is in desperate need of Cashiers for the following shifts:

Mornings 9am - 12:30pm on Monday and Thursdays

Afternoons 12:30pm - 5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays
