Dear Covenant family,

‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him” – John 7:37

As the days are getting longer, do you look forward to Spring? This Sunday you’ll get a ‘spring preview’ as we look at the beautiful springs that can be found in the Missouri outdoors. Did you know that there are a lot of significant characteristics of a spring that directly parallel and further explain the promise of Jesus that ‘out of your belly will flow streams of living waters’? As we continue part 2 of ‘Living Water’, I pray God will refresh and replenish us deeply. Be thirsty!

We also look forward to the testimony of new members Matt & Megan Viox.

We are taking a temporary break from Wednesday’s men’s meeting to direct time toward ‘casting our nets’  in the area of reaching out to area youth and their families and other initiatives (homeless shelter). Men’s breakfast to continue as normal.

Dear Covenant family,

‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him” – John 7:37

It’s time to talk about food again! Last week Christ told us He is the Bread of Life. This Sunday He explains how He is our source of ‘Living Water’ – something that will burst forth in us and out of us, refreshing and awesome! I pray we may receive that Living Water; a promise of the Spirit, more fully.

Also: We plan on hearing a testimony all the way from Mongolia – how Christ came and saved a family, and how that includes a journey to a Harvard scholarship, among other things. And: special music from our youth talent.

Dear Covenant family,

We kept our service short and sweet this past Sunday, with the risk of impending weather. We had a wonderful time with the 40 or so brave souls who made it out. We plan on doing last week’s intended message this Sunday: a message on the Bread of Life. He is a recap of what I wrote in last week’s email:

"‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty’ – John 6:35

Do I really want to talk this Sunday about more food and drink after we had plenty of that this Christmas Season?  You may call it an inappropriate subject, but think again….. The unique claim of Christ is that once we eat of Him, we’ll never be hungry again. No more food! Lisa Terkeurst, author of ‘Made to Crave’ would tell you that that getting your fill from Him -  being truly satisfied by Him – is the best prevention from overeating as it provides you with the strongest way to be able to say ‘no’ to that extra cookie and desert that smiles so nice at you. This week we’ll look at Jesus’ claim out of John 6 as the ‘the Bread of Life’. Beyond mere dieting, Christ’s claim is that He is fully satisfying, and that by experiencing Him more fully, we experience a Full Life. Studying this familiar passage has changed my life this week. I pray it will do the same to you this Sunday.

Mark your calendar for our annual membership meeting this Sunday
